More than 48 children, with different pathologies, had to be hospitalized the night of this Wednesday -11 of April in the area of the Pediatric Emergency of the Central Hospital of San Cristóbal.

As a consequence of the lack of nursing staff of the pediatric nine-hospital floor, causing the collapse of these areas.

Dr. Renny Cárdenas, director of this healthcare center, informed that on a tour conducted by the area he was able to know, on the part of the heads of the service, that there were no nurses on the floor to receive the patients and they had to stay below, with scarce medical staff and nurses, whose capacity is around 20 patients.

"The Central Hospital of San Cristóbal is a reference center of five states and is an entity that does not deny attention to anyone; Fortunately, with the donation of supplies that the mayor gave us, the situation of the Pediatric Emergency was alleviated, but the staff is insufficient and that is what causes the greatest inconvenience, "Cárdenas said in a press release. He explained that this diaspora of personnel is due to the economic situation and although there have been several alternatives, where even an adjustment in wages has been proposed, no response has been received. "We are trying to provide the personnel with some ways to transport them and we are analyzing ways to hire more personnel because we want to move forward, over the difficulties," he said. The director of the Central Hospital made a call to the Ministry of Health and corresponding entities so that the salaries of the health personnel are sincere and a measure is sought to resolve this difficult situation that is being experienced, in which going to work is a problem.

Likewise, they are waiting for the supply of the corresponding supplies for the month of April, which is why he suggested expediting the procedures and seeking solutions: "we are not facing anybody, we are only looking for solutions and willing to work for the health of the tachirenses
